Doom on Switch funny picture.

As much as Nintendo wants to be seen as cool and hip, over the years it's established itself more as a child and family friendly brand than anything else. Although there's nothing necessarily wrong with that, it has prevented the company from making big deals with the biggest publishers in the industry, each of which have a tendency to create mature content that doesn't suit the core audience of Nintendo (i.e. Rockstar with Grand Theft Auto and Ubisoft with Tom Clancy).

That's quickly changing now that the Switch is performing well and bringing in all-new demographics. Currently on-pace to break the records previously set by the Wii, the Switch is not only the hottest gaming device of 2017, it's changing the way people think of gaming hardware now that they can play AAA games on the toilet.

But now that you can play big (and tough) games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim no matter where you are, that's quickly becoming an outdated concept.
