Shadow of the Tomb Raider progress.

You like Lara Croft, huh? Well, you won't be waiting much longer to see her jumping off cliffs and shooting arrows at unsuspecting people again.

Square Enix has a new teaser that points to tomorrow. While this confirms that some sort of announcement will take place before the weekend, a little CSI style investigation reveals much more.

A quick look at the source code for the website shows definitive information: a new game called Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming.

As seen below, the code says "Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the climactic finale of Lara's origin story. Available September 14th, 2018".

Yup, this doesn't just give us a name for the project, but also its precise release date,  release date that puts the new game starring Lara Croft next to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2. In other words, tough company.

The last game in the series was 2015's Rise of the Tomb Raider, a game that won several game of the year awards (including one from yours truly).

Rise of the Tomb Raider was originally an Xbox One timed exclusive, yet went on to sell far more units on PS4. Chances are this time around it'll launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One within the same time frame so Square Enix can make as much money as possible.
