Have you ever wanted to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with a friend? Some gamers would just tell you to play The Elder Scrolls Online, but they have no idea what they're talking about; we want multiplayer Skyrim, not that watered down imitation of a game—that's actually gotten a lot better recently, but still.

A new mod for Skyrim is nearing the end of development that is looking to provide a multiplayer solution six years after the game's original launch. It's called Skyrim Together, and its latest build is fully playable, allowing "2+ players" to band together in a single instance.

With this, players will be able to take down challenging quests, level up, and adventure through vast caves and crypts with friends while naked. It sounds cool, but it looks even better, as seen in the later update trailer below:

The mod is scheduled to be released for free later this year. At nearly the same time, Bethesda will be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of the game along with the long-awaited Skyrim VR for PS4 that will allow you to have awkward conversations with unparalleled immersion. Unlike Skyrim Together, these will have hefty price tags.
