A Garden City woman was arrested Wednesday night after a knife she allegedly threw during a fight over the wrong brand of beer struck a 3-year-old girl, according to police officials.
Lorraine Bulloch was intoxicated and got into an argument with her brother at 7:15 p.m. after he came home to a residence in the Savannah Pines Mobile Home Park with the wrong brand of beer, said Garden City Capt. Al Jelinski. During the fight, Bulloch allegedly picked up a knife and threw it at her brother, but he ducked, Jelinski said. The blade ended up striking the 3-year-old in the head.
Paramedics rushed the little girl to Memorial University Medical Center with what Jelinski described as serious injuries.
Bulloch was booked into the Chatham County jail. Charges were not clear as of late Wednesday night.
