Juliet Breitman, 4, is being sued by the estate of an elderly woman, Claire Menagh, whom she hit while riding her bicycle.

The woman got a hip-fracture, and 3 weeks later.

The little girl's friend, and both of their parents, who were supervising them, are being sued.

I paraphrased a bit, but this is essentially the story.

The headline, like all news headlines, was of course impossible to ignore. No verdict was made on the 4-year old's liabilty in the case yet. Which is good. I can understand suing the parents, yeah. But the kids, really? They're kids it's what they do. They play, they do stupid shit.

You can take them away from parents who aren't raising them, or paying enough attention to them, but you can't sue them. People these days are trying to sue everyone, it's unreal. I wouldn't be surprised to see a story some time soon about a man getting sued because his dog is too ugly for public, and offended some old woman.
