Hello everyone.

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Spellcheck2008.

I have come to Ebaum’s website for one reason, and one reason only:  to correct your spelling.  I have noticed that the spelling habits of many of the users here is horrifying.  Many of you regularly spell words incorrectly.  This must stop.

To give you an example, the word “loser” is often mistakenly spelled “looser”. 

Also, there seems to be much confusion over the use of the word “your”.  Your is a possessive word, which means “belonging to you”.  The contraction “you’re” is used when trying to say “you are”.

And don’t get me started on the absurd use of capitalization and punctuation on this website.  Periods occur at the end of sentences.  Words that begin the sentence should be capitalized.  You should also use capital letters when spelling formal names of people and places.

That’s no so hard, is it?

From now on, you will notice that I will frequently be popping up in your comments, correcting your spelling.  No doubt, many of you will take offense to this.  I don’t care.  It is only through correct spelling that our ideas will be effectively communicated.  You can insult me all you want, but it won’t stop me.  In time, I hope you will come to realize that I do this for your own good.
