Ballot Bums

With election day tomorrow, 150,000,000 registered voters will pour into ballot locales. And almost the entire 150 mil. will without a doubt cast a vote based solely on party label or other off-the-mark bullshit, since they're also registered morons.

Chris Rock probably put it best when he said "Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue out is a fucking idiot...". You see, most people (you included) would say one is "entitled" to their opinion. And since, by that logic, I'm entitled to mine, I'll say (you'll sit here and hear it anyway) my opinion is most people aren't entitled to their opinion.

Like with most things in life, an opinion is also something to be earned. You genuinely need to have empathy, knowledge, passion, and comprehension of/toward an issue before you formulate a valid opinion, let alone squawk that shit out loud. Otherwise it's just some convoluted, pretentious, trite bullshit people trumpet around cuz they want to be in on something relevant, prove something to others, or plain want to hear their own annoying voice.

And that borders on dangerous when it comes to decisions that alter the course of history for a nation. The entitlement issue for people is so fucking blown out of proportion it's not a surprise we can't advance as a species.

So when it comes to a Presidential election, I see mud-slinging attack ads as a great form of entertainment, rather than a 30 second be-all, end-all for turning the tides on my educated guess on who would be better fit to run my country. Yes, another ^_^ recent Howard Stern clip on one of these amusing ads, this one a weird anti-Romney bit with some funny commentary.

Happy (and hopefully helpful) voting!
