Eight hours since I last posted, and THAT is the last one coming up as new?!? Never used to be like this....

Anyway, I've got about 13 hours to kill until my shift starts, and my Scrubs downloads are about ten minutes out, so I thought I'd duck in and see what's what.

Not much, apparently.

So what's new with me, you might ask? (Most likely not, but you'll hear about it anyway.)

-My 13 hour attempt to quit smoking has quite litteraly gone up in smoke. I just downed two cigarettes in a row about an hour ago to make up for the lack of sweet, sweet nicotine running through my system. Not too bad for a first attempt, in my opinion. I haven't gone 13 hours without a cigarette since the days of hiding it from the parents. A victory of sorts, if you look at it from a certain point of view.

-The kid was up all night with a snotty nose and couldn't sleep. Eventually at four this morning she settled, but only after removing her from the crib and letting her sleep with me on the sofa. I think tonight may be a horrible, horrible event of sorts in terms of her sleeping. (At least I'll be working at that point; it's mum's problem now!!) As a result, I have had a good three hours of sleep since yesterday evening; ot good when you take into account the 12 hour shift coming up on the horizon.

-I've been piling throught the stock-pile of downloaded movies and TV shows on the hard-drive in an attempt to free up some much needed space. The short list: "Repo! The Genetic Opera" was balls-out horrible ; "Pineapple Express" made me wish I still had the ability to smoke a decent joint ; "X-Files: I Want To Believe" took longer to pronounce than the level of interest it kept with me (would have been a fantastic episode, but made for a shyte movie) ; "Quarantine" was pretty good in it's semi-horror status, but the legend of Cloverfield cinematography was badly, badly duplicated ; "How I Met Your Mother" is consistantly funny every week....three episodes caught up on now. Check out www.barneysonlineresume.com for some funny-ass shit related to the show ; "Flight of the Conchords" new season is better than the original, and the original was pretty fucking awesome ; Richard Dean Anderson spoofing himself on SNL from this past weekend.....MacGrubber!! ; and my all-out dorkiness shows through with a now up-to-date watch list of that Clone Wars cartoon. (Childhood obsessions are hard to separate from.) Mix in a few Discovery channel specials and a few episodes of "Dirty Jobs" and that pretty mch sums up my past week or so. Oh! Midget porn----lots and lots and lots and lots of midget porn.

...that shit should be done downloading by now....
