As many of you know I have little regard for the institutions that manage our lives. I try to question everything that the authorities or those in power offer me. Too many things in the world just don't add up to me and I feel more people should question accepted social norms. I do work as a renovator and have made many acquaintances. I mostly do work for well paid public servants, police, nurses and doctors. It is they that I believe tell me the truth and feel they are to be trusted more then official statements from government directed institutions.

Here are a few comments from them after I asked them questions or made statements to them.

From a top level Diplomat serving in Hong Kong before China retook sovereignty.

All criminal files for known Triad members, (Chinese mafia). disappeared over night, even their CSIS files were completely eliminated. I cross referenced the members I could remember to Interpol, and those records were gone! I approached Brian Mulroney, then Prime Minister of Canada, and he said, " forget about it". Many of these ruthless criminals were allowed to take up residence here in Canada based on a new immigration policy introduced at that time, that allowed "foreign business men", with $300,000 to invest, to become Canadian citizens.

This former Diplomat was ostracized by his peers and neglected by law enforcing agencies. The few RCMP officers that tried to stop this invasion of criminals into our country, were either fired or reassigned.

Many of these criminals also entered the USA and many South American countries under the same pretenses.

This man along with the RCMP officers that support him continue to fight this transgression of justice to this day.

From a highly respected Medical Doctor now working at a children's hospital.

I served as a member of the board of directors for the WHO, ( world health organization). I soon came to realize that the WHO had little interest in world health issues. Every decision was based on profit potentials. Figures and statistics that conflicted with profit margins were ignored.

Whenever, we as the board came to a decision or recommendation, the board would adjourn before ratification. The decision or recommendations was then sent to an official living in Italy. Only if this Italian individual accepted the terms would it pass. 

Later on this Italian member was arrested as a leader of the Italian Mafia. After searching his residence police found precious stones, gold and stolen works of art. When asked why he had all these objects he said, "they are the only things in this world with any value".

At the time I was working for her the swine flu problem was forefront in the news. I asked for her recommendation as to what I and my family should do. She said, "don't bother with it, it is not a real health concern. I never get vaccinated and I never get the flu. It could happen, that a serious virus outbreak could occur, but this one definitely is not cause for concern".

Today she helps children in the emergency department at our Children's Hospital. This is where she feels she can do the most good.

From a Superior Court Judge who lost his temper with me because I woke him while repairing his windows.

" I want to apologize for the way I behaved yesterday. It was not appropriate and uncalled for. I was angry and depressed about a sexual assault case I was trying yesterday. I knew the man was guilty of pedophilia, but as the law is written there was nothing I could do".

He sat down beside me the rest of the afternoon as I repaired his garage door. He went from this enraged judge to a sincerely inquisitive persona of my work and my family.

 From a highly regarded Chief of Police, after I complained about unfair treatment from the car insurance industry.

I was in his home office, and as I looked around I saw awards, plaques and letters from CSIS, Interpol, MI5, MI6, CIA, past US Presidents, the Queen of England, etc. They all praised him for courage and service beyond the call of duty etc.

As I explained my anger for the car insurance industry increasing my rate from $450.00 per year to $4200.00 for the next 3 years after an accident that did $3000.00 damage. I suggested to him, somewhat jokingly, that it is almost as if the car insurance industry is run by mafia.

Well, you could have heard a pin drop! He looked straight at me from his office chair and said, " look, look around you, you can see what I have been through. There is more truth in that statement you have made then I could possibly explain. I have been fighting that for many years with people around the world, and there is little that can be done about it".

From a former Director of Government Affairs, after I discussed my experiences with the before mentioned Diplomat in Hong Kong.

"When the story broke of Jean Chretien having illegal dealings, I had all the evidence in my desk. I would not dare to make them public, for if I would, it would have meant the end to my career".

From many overworked, truly good individual NURSES, (capitalized for they deserve at least that).

" A lot of doctors don't have clue what they are doing".

" the front line workers are the real health care providers".

" I have the immune system of a squirrel, after working in emergency". (Love that)!!

" Don't ever ask a front line worker, how long it will take? You might be there all night"!

" Get out of the hospital as soon as you can because it will probably kill you if you are sick"!

"vaccinations, if you are healthy are a waste of time. Most nurses and doctors I know don't get them".

Well those are my experiences, you can say I just made it all up or I embellished it, I admit the wording is subjective, but I have tried to be as honest as possible.
