Learn to swim.

The human race is far more inferior than we let on.  All animals need 3 basic things to survive,  Air to breathe, Sun light, Food/Water, however us silly humans have added 2 things to that list - Money and Electricity.    Now, you may say that there are small tribes all over this world that do not need electricity or money, but they are also seen as simple, and without that of which puts us on the top of the food chain.

The harsh realization I had was.... do we actually belong on top?     I take everything that's going on now, and I see a very grim future for us superior beings.

Us humans have replaced natural selection, and environmental balance with, vaccinations and infrastructure.  Thus far, it has worked in our favor.   We have beaten many contagious diseases, we've made all the world has to offer available to anyone who could afford it, and because of this our population has grown.

I on the other hand see all of this as our eventual downfall.  I believe that the farther away from nature we get, the harder nature is going to hit us when it takes back what belongs to it.  That being the system it's developed for sustainability, and the resources that make it happen.

It's simply not our place, nor purpose to run this planet... especially as we have.   We are animals. We belong in nature like all living things. We also belong to the ecosystem and it's law, just the same.   This is a hard concept to swallow, especially because it would result in the loss of many many lives.   We have pushed the limits of nature, and therefore our current population could not exist without all that we have done to combat nature's ways.   We cannot accept this as it does not benefit our species... it goes against one of natures other laws, and that's the fight for survival on a personal level.

But I also believe that this concept goes on to explain much of which we don't understand.  I believe we have lost our sense of purpose because nature does not tend to us.  You will not find purpose in a career.... and it's much less complicated than we think.   Our real purpose on this earth is to be one factor of many, in a natural system.    It's all there right in front of us.
Contagious disease... what is it's purpose?  Was it bestowed upon us by Satan?  Is it God working in mysterious ways we will never understand?  No.. it's nature doing what nature does.
Just like obesity..... you won't ever see an obese (by comparison to other members of it's species) animal in nature for a reason.  You are only supposed to take what you need, and anything above that, nature takes care of by killing through heart disease and other obesity caused illness.   Natural selection.   It's nature's way of controlling population for the better.  That's it.  No need to complicate it.   We only question it, because it doesn't seem fair.  It's not a part of our learned ethics.   For some reason we believe that we have a right to live.  We don't.

Many of you will disagree with me by saying that most of us wouldn't be alive if we didn't do what we do.   I agree with that, but I think it's the way it's supposed to be, and that we don't actually have the right to argue it.   Sometimes we just have to accept a negative conclusion, but it's hard because we see ourselves above nature... which brings me to my next point.

The end of what we know.   We are self destructive.  We have become so dependent, and ethical, that we are not going to know what to do when shit goes down hill.   Don't believe me... try living without money and electricity for a week.  Try living like an animal that has to gather it's own food, and defend it's self against the real cruel world that is natural selection.... that's what animals do... we are animals as well.   Many of us, including me, could not do it.   We are too far gone.    All that we have is fragile... all it takes is a single disaster, a single day to bring us back to our natural roots.... look at Japan for example.  Couple weeks ago they were a country filled with people, technology, and modern civilization.  Much of it is gone... one wave flattened years of construction and an economy.  Their energy source,(which made it all possible) is now threatening to kill thousands.

I am not the only one who thinks this way.. not by a long shot.   I'll leave you with this song by Tool. (A band known for their concepts and use/belief in quantum physics).

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this
