Monkey See, Monkey Scared.

There's a lot of questions and so called answers as to why, we as a society, are so fucked.   Some blame big corporate, the government, and the media, with claims that they are all just "out to get us".    I'm not here to argue whether or not that is true.  Because in some cases, it is.  We can all think of some examples.   I just don't think it would happen so often, had we not made it so easy for them.

There are people in this world who understand how you think, better than you do.  And there are people out there who have used that knowledge to control what you think and what you do.

No, the government has not implanted some highly sophisticated alien technology into your brain ,at birth, that controls your mind.   Don't flatter yourself... you're not special enough for the government to pay so much individual attention to.  Besides, it's far easier than that.

All it takes is fear and uncertainty.  That's it.  When people are scared and confused the first thing they do is look for answers.   Now if you're fortunate enough to encounter someone in this desperate state (or easily put them there), you can basically get them to do whatever you want.

Now, with the help from my new favourite show, Just for Laughs - Gags,  I would like to demonstrate how easy it is to scare and manipulate people.  Now these examples are harmless, but you, if you're smart enough, can see how this tactic can be applied to real life situations.

With just a couple actors and some bright colours, you'll be standing there starring at orange pylons (or invisible obstacles), or running frantically around the sidewalk like a lunatic.   It doesn't take much to throw us into an irrational thought process, or behavior.   Just fear, and uncertainty.
