So I was at Wal-Mart the other day, and I saw that Journey has a new CD out.  I think it's called "Revelation."  Anyway, the current lead singer for Journey is not the legendary Steve Perry, as he has been doing his own thing for a while now, but instead, it is some Filipino dude.

Now I don't mean to sound racist.  I have a number of Filipino friends, many of whom are decent singers.  But something just doesn't seem right about this.  It's as odd as if Clay Aiken joined Boyz II Men or Sean Kingston joined Menudo.

I did see Journey in concert a few years ago when they had some white guy who wasn't Steve Perry as the singer, and it didn't really bother me, even though I still think Journey without Steve Perry isn't the real Journey.  Maybe it was because Journey is considered a "white" band.

Again, I have nothing against Filipinos, but I just think something is off here.  What does everyone else think?
