The starship Enterprise's captain might have to pay up soon because ha apparently copied the IPad tablet. In the 1992 episode of Star Trek: The Next generation (season 6, episode 4; first aired on 1992-10-12), captain Picard is using something that reminds the Apple iPad.
Why would Apple have the rights to sue a fictional character and how does it even apply for something that happened BEFORE the iPad was launched or even planned? Stak Trek:TNG takes place in the 24th century, therefore, the Apple iPad precedes the tablet used in the show.
However ridiculous that sounds, experts on the subject predict that Patrick Stewart is about to pay up millions for this.
