Servers

I know a lot of people on here tell me that if I don’t like my job, I should quit. The truth is, I LOVE my job. How many of you out there can say you bring home 100-200 CASH every night you work? What about working on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day and taking home 400-500 in CASH? Not to mention the different hours you can get. If you need a night off, no problem. It’s not like calling your work and having to call off. You just find someone to work for you. Serving is probably the easiest/best job I’ve had.

I know a lot of people think that serving is demeaning. I have to say that I can see both sides on this argument. But aren’t lots of job demeaning? You think working your ass off to make someone else rich isn’t demeaning? Without servers (or people who work in the food industry) everyone would have to cook at home and you’d be surprised how many people HATE cooking at home. It’s a mess and things can go wrong. If something goes wrong at a restaurant, you can bitch to your server about it and get it fixed (if not, it’ll be free). Trust me, if you think about it, 80% of jobs are demeaning. Unless you work for yourself or own your own business/president of the company, you work for someone else. You are serving/helping someone else. Don’t deny it. Servers are only targeted because they deal with your food and, as it has in the past, servants brought the wealthy their food.

Anyway, as a side note to whoever it was who said that they notified the board of health about me- I’m not afraid. First off, you’d have to prove that the stories are actually true and you’re a little late- this all happened 4 years ago. Trust me, the Board of Health doesn’t give a shit about you. I’ve met people from the Ohio Board of Health. Actually, I knew one personally but that’s besides the point. Even if the story was true, which you cannot prove it is, then they’d still have to go through the trouble of hunting me down. So, if you want to play that game, IF I find out who you are or where you live, I’ll have my mom look into it since her best friends work for the IRS. They owe me a favor anyway since I’ve watched their house when they went on vacation. Maybe you’d like you find out what it’s like to be audited.

So, now that I’ve been a bitch for the day, I’m going to relax for a little while and recount the 200 dollars I made last night…you know, after 5 hours of work. Yeah, serving is just SOOOOOO awful.
