I just finished a plate of fresh waffles when I set foot outside to spark up a fatty, when something very unusual caught my eye. Something shined in the distance, It was the only thing eating away the pitch black darkness of this warm night. It shined quite brightly as I made my way towards it. It was bright and flourescent as the night was dark, so many thoughts drifted through my head the time was going by very slow as I was overcome by my own curiousity, seconds felt like minutes. I was finally close enough to properly examine this small object. What could it be I thought to myself. As I looked closer and closer it began to move. It was late perhaps the night was playing tricks on me. I quickly got a jar and made my way back to the light hoping it would not leave. I picked it up with my own hand and placed it in the jar. I watced it slowly move around. At this time I was quite sure I knew what it was. Perhaps the larva of a firefly, though I have never seen one before so it was only an educated guess. This was very unusual to me because such insects are not native to this area. It glowed brightly like a flourescent led. I brought some grass and leaves into the jar, I turned off all the lights and stared deeply at it until I fell asleep.
