To Tomlet......

Although I dont always agree with you I do respect the manner in which you discuss a situation. I am going to handle the Rev. Wright situation because I think it does have some validity and also please dont insult MY intelligence by saying it had no effect on him and his family. So....

I grew up in a christian home and we went to the same church every week and twice on Sunday and once on Thursday. Week in and week out we all gathered in the car and we went and served the Lord and it was at the same church for many years until the minister acted in a unchristian like manner and we stopped going. My father was not an educated man but he knew better than to let his family sit in a church and listen to the sermons of the hatred of any race. Why did Obama stay?

Now I know what you are saying but Bo how do you know Wright preached hate when all you ever heard was some sound bites put out there by a group of anti-Obama people? During the election this was the part that meant the most to me, I watched and listened to four complete sermons(wkef public TV) by this so called man of God and he is a Racist PERIOD. Now I am not saying he stood up on his pulpit and spent every minute preaching against the white man but it was in the sermons time and time again. Back during the elections I was one of those people on the fence because I didn't want McCain as president because of his age, but this is the thing that turned it for me. How can you let your family sit in that place and listen to a man preach about the "Devil" white man and think it had no impact.

I know how having God in your life can and does shape your values (yes you can have values without going to church) and when I thought of my president condoning this behavior and that is what he did or he would have taken his family out of the place of hate. You wont find this stuff in the constitution it is found in a little used area called common sense. When I think of all the problems we have today and then watch as our president and the vice-president have a kegger to appease yet another so called victim of racism it just pisses me off and the money spent on this crap could have been put to much better use. I think it was Tomlet who said we dont know what its like to be pulled over under suspicion just because we are black and I agree with him on this because we have no word in our language that has the power of Nigger. Years ago I wore my hair long and in a pony tail and I got pulled over all the time to search my car for drugs. It was an inconvenience but it is what it is and nobody threw Me a kegger and yes I know i could have cut my hair but why did I have to? Freedom cost, and we ALL better get used to it or we will have to have to buy a lot more kegs for these poor lost victims. I cant even talk about Health care because I dont know enough about the bill, but I do think every US citizen and I did say citizen should get some kind of health care if you qualify for assistance, but here I am again talking common sense in a political arena. I think Obama has done some good things like pump more money into the education system, I am sure its not enough but its a start. I wonder what that is going to cost the teachers because the scariest words you can hear are "We ae the U.S. Government and we are here to help" because when you hear that run do not stop and collect $200.00 just run!

Thanks for reading Bohank
