so i finally got a friggin job... part time, but still a job... My first shift was this past tuesday and i only worked from 12-4 but it was ez as pie because it was just a walkthrough of the store and a little bit of till training....

I work at green earth, and for those 0of you who don't know wtf green earth is here ya go...

Green earth was founded in 1989 by a couple of tree huggers who wanted to have a treandy store that was environmentaly friendly hence the name "Green Earth". The second branch was opened in '92 followed by another 2 stores in '93 and a few more every year. there are now about 35 stores in ontario alone.... Most of the product is made right here in canada with a few made in the UK as well as a whole section from south america and africa. Nowadays the store has moved on but is still very eco friendly... We have a large selection of pewter and stone statues and sculptures which greatly resemble gothic architecture(gargoyles, dragons) as well as a large selection of "word frames" which are essentially sayings and phrases in a simple wooden frame, some of these phrases are quotes from the bible as well as few from ghandi, mother teresa and einstein... We also have a large variety of collectables such as the "dark fairies", pastel fairies and bronze fairies... in my particular store there is a large section at the back filled entirely with gothic type sculptures and swords/daggers which could previously be seen in the franchise "House of Knives" who green earth essentially ran out of business.... :D

Since i just started and im not even 16 yet(not for another week and a half that is....) im still doing training but its a breeze and ill be done eveything by the end of next week... I dont think there are any green earth stores in america although im not really sure....... so if you live in america then you might be SOL so hardy har har :D check out the website www.greenearth.com to see some of the awesome stock we have and if you notice a store in your local mall go chock it out....
