Once about 8 years ago when I was in High School, one of my friends gave my mom a gold necklace. Allow me to explain!

My mom is named Barbara. One of my friends in High School, Dustin, used to date a cute redhead named Barbara. She was a friend of mine too, she was pretty cool. But like many high school romances, after a few months those two just didn't work out, and they broke it off. Oh well.

After the breakup, Dustin approached me with a gold necklace, or fake gold, idk. It had a Mickey Mouse symbol and the name "Barbara" on it.

Him: "Alright Doug, before I offer this, I am fully aware of how weird as hell this sounds. Last time I went to Disneyworld, I got this necklace to give to Barbara, but now we're not together anymore."

Me: "Wait... no... you're not...."

Him: "Doug do you wanna see if your mom wants it?"

Me: "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh WHAT?!? You wanna give my mom a gold necklace?"

Him: "Dammit Doug! She's the only other Barbara I know!"

Me: "Alright, fine, I'll give it to her. But I'm totally gonna blog about this years from now"

Him: "Don't you do it. And WTF is a blog"
