Okay, I’ll admit it: I’m a Conservative living in one of the most Liberal areas of the country. I live out here on the West Coast. The only other places out here that are more Liberal than where I am are San Fran and Berkeley, so, if you know political demographics at all, you should be able to narrow it down and get a pretty good idea of where I am.

That being said, I have never been as disgusted with an election as I have been with this one! For the past couple of years, I have been doing intellectual and political battle as a Conservative on craigslist in their Rants and Raves and Politics sections in this overwhelmingly Liberal city of mine. You would think I was the second coming of Hitler himself for all the names I’ve been called and for all the attempted insults that have been hurled my way just because I have a differing opinion than the majority of the people that live here.

As the last and final straw recently, and, as the ultimate demonstration of “tolerance” and censorship by my “Liberal” and “Progressive” political opponents, I have been banned from being able to post in any city and in any section on craigslist! I guess my posts got flagged enough times that the powers-that-be @ craigslist labeled me a “trouble maker,” an “undesirable” and someone who’s downright “dangerous,” thus blocking my IP address so I can no longer post. I did not violate any of craigslist’s TOU (Terms of Use).  All I did was discuss and offer counterpoints to posts I felt needed responding to! I had to laugh because each time one of my posts would get flagged, I’d receive an email notification stating that my post had been removed by the craigslist “community.” In the notification, they’d smugly tell me that their “research” shows that 98% of all posts that get flagged deserve to be flagged and that if I felt I was one of the remaining 2 % who was flagged in error, I could take it to the “help” forum. What a joke and total waste of time that was!  

I am convinced that places like craigslist as well as other blog sites, have been and are regularly and vigorously patrolled by Democrat (Obama) tools whose sole purpose is to get rid of any and all opinions and views that don’t meet with their approval or don’t agree with them. Using proxy websites, a very few people are able to flag posts they don’t like or agree with. This way, they’re assured that only their message is heard and only their candidate is portrayed in the most favorable light possible, all while trashing their opposition with near impunity in any fashion they like.  These tools want their candidate elected soooooo badly, they’ll stop at NOTHING to help it along, even if it involves lying, cheating and censoring any and all opposing points of view. How is that “fair?”  How is this “leveling the playing field,” as Liberals are so fond of saying? How come they don’t give a damn that I’M disenfranchised?

Just this past weekend, it was revealed by one of the local TV stations, that our local “alternative” newspaper published pictures of homeowner’s front yards, those homeowners with Republican candidates’ signs, as well as publishing the addresses of those homes! They called their article, “Hell Houses.” Despite many disgusted responses from “featured” homeowners as well as many emails from other offended locals, the paper had a totally blasé attitude about their story, only removing the addresses from their website, but it was too late for all the papers that got printed and were out and about in circulation. Their excuse was that it was a Halloween “spoof!” Had this been a Conservative newspaper (is there such a thing?) who’d done the same thing, there’d be outcries from the local media and calls for someone’s head as well as all the usual name-calling and labels Liberals like to use. 

I’ve always had my own personal reasons for voting the way I do and for believing in the things I do. This year, this Election cycle, I have even more reason to stick to my convictions because of all the dirty politics I’ve been personally subjected to and for the way I was deliberately silenced and censored by self-appointed craigslist “police.” This is why I so vigorously oppose the so-called “Fairness Doctrine,” which is nothing more than window dressing to silence and to get rid of all dissenting opinions to the official Democrat Party line. They have an all-too-willing and sympathetic ally and propaganda machine called the Mainstream Media. They’ll call differing opinions “hate speech,” “racism” or any of a number of other labels they choose to use to justify silencing and censoring opposing points of view.  These are the same people who are absolutely petrified by the Patriot Act and FISA but have no problem at all silencing their political opposition, just so that they can “win” by any and all means possible! 

There’s something seriously wrong when polls become the story rather than act as a reflection of it, the Mainstream Media is so blatantly one-sided in support of any one particular candidate and the people are too lazy, unintelligent or uncaring to not realize it and see it for what it is. I have long-since learned that Liberals and Progressives are only “tolerant” and will only support “diversity” just so long as it’s within the framework and guidelines they approve of.
