I was reading a blog theliquidsinner wrote and it mentioned Nick Cave and Tom Waits, and I was just wondering, whose better?

I prefer Tom Waits to Nick Cave. Even with Tom Waits having a raspy voice (reminiscent of a parched man in a desert gargling sand) I prefer his music, both the sound and lyrical content to that of Nick Cave. Singapore, Little Drop of Poison, All the World is Green, Coat tails of a Dead Man...they're all great in content and sound.

Nick Cave is eccentric, but ...I don't know, maybe it's the whole leather pants semi-pedophile vibe I get from him, but I just don't find him to be as talented. Hamlet pow pow...it's screaming with virtually undiscernable (sp?) lyrics, though the music isn't horrible.

Well, in my opinion Tom Waits is better, but by all means...leave a comment with your opinion. If you make a good arguement and say something with substance, or even leave a valid opinion, I might rebut earlier things I've said of Nick Cave. That and I'm interested in everyone's opinions.

This was my first blog btw, and I hope it didn't suck TOO bad.
