WOO!  I'm so glad we finally got our stimulus!  It may not be as much as we should've gotten (we should've gotten the full $1500, but unfortunately, almost all of 2007 was tax free for us because my husband was in Iraq- how shitty is that?  Get sent away for a year, only to come home totally fucked up, and we dont' even get to reap the financial benefits...)

Anyway, we got it!  Now I'm off to deposit it, and buy concrete and drywall skim, pay off some bills, and then fill up the tank on my car!  That car hasn't been full for at least three months- always just $20 in at a time. :P 

It's sad that most Americans will be getting this money, and almost all of it will go to gas or catching up on bills.  It sucks, really.  It's ridiculous.  We're slightly behind, and we're more miserly than a couple of Jews! (Yay for stereotyping!)  Oh, well.  At least we got a little back.

Oh, and on a side note, I also got a nice care package from my mother-in-law, her mom, and one of her brothers.  It was really sweet.  Lots of baby clothes for Andy, some chocolates (I'm going to have to hide them from the hubs- chocolate is the only candy he will actually sit and devour), a gift card, a nice little Asian style hope chest, some pretty little heart charms with mine, my husband's and our daughter's names on them.  I gotta say, I totally lucked out when it comes to in-laws, especially my mother-in-law.  A lot of times, I feel like I'm the only person in the world that actually gets excited that their mother-in-law is coming to visit.
