I'm gonna do the 883 to 1200 conversion on my sportster in october. I know Harley makes a good kit for $1200 that comes with heads, pistons, cylinders, gaskets, airbreather etc., but I wonder is this the best way to go. This kit doesn't come with cams, but I heard that the stock 883 cams make for a torquey motor, and the heads are more important. I've seen kits on ebay that are just jugs and pistons but nothing else. I've heard that this combo will be ok with a power commander. Bottom line is, I wanna know if anyone else has done this, and what parts/ kits did you use, or if you used a power commader or had Harley recalibrate the ECU. Thank you for your time.

P.S. Does anyone know where to get some inverted/ dual disc forks for a 2007 XL? Or has anyone custom fit used gixxer forks on their sporty?
