The Slang Epidemic

It seems to me that the English speaking World has chosen to ignore years of schooling including grammar and english classes and I am very concerned. But it is not the largely used slang words that bother me. It is the subtleties (?) So in this blog I would like to explain the difference between FURTHER and FARTHER:

FARTHER: Applies to a physical distance. IE. The gas station is farther away than the                grocery store.

FURTHER: Applies to distance in time or degree. IE. You further your education.

You travel further into the past or future.

Thanks for listening. Sorry its so dull. Just one of my pet pieves.
