So I just read this news update where the FDA says tomatoes are safe to eat, the salmonella outbreak has been linked to jalapenos and serranos. WHAT!?
Here's where I take issue with this... the 'outbreak' was a month ago! If the contamination had been more widespread then what would have happened. It's not so much that they didn't catch the peppers at first but that they told us it was the tomatoes. If you're not sure then just say so!
Are jalapenos safe now? I mean, I like jalapenos... tomatoes I can do without if need be? Nachos just aren't the same without a bunch of jalapenos on them.
