Medical Experiments During the Holocaust

Doctors have always been thought of as the saviors of mankind, the healers, and caretakers of our utter existence. Even ancient civilizations revered the medicine men as having special power to protect life. The trust of a physician is sacred. This is why the practice of medicine by the doctors of the Third Reich isoutrageous and shocking. The Nazi doctors violated the trust placed in them by humanity. The most painful truth is for the most part the doctors escaped their crimes against Humanity and lived a life, unlike their victims.

Some of the experiments conducted included :

hypothermia- men were placed in ice cold water for hours. Doctors stood over them and took notes they watched as the innocent men literally froze to death.

high altitude- men were strapped in parachutes and placed in simulation chambers. Most of the subjects didnt survive.

pharmacological- many experiments were conducted some of the ones that stick out clearly in my head is the pumping of poison or alcohol straight into the heart.

sterilization- doctors would rub glass shards or wood dust into open wounds and detail the healing processes. Most patients succumbed to gangria and infections.

surgery- experimental surgeries were often performed WITHOUT anasthesia. The patient would be paralized and wide awake during the process.

traumatic injuries- self explanatory

hot baths - experiments were conducted to see how much heat the body can withstand. All of the subjects died.

ALthough there were tons of Natzi doctors who " worked" at various concentration camps during the war two of the most famous ones are known as " Doctor Death" ( worked in Auswitz ) and " Doctor Angel" who did experiments at Birkeanu.

Yesterday the media announced that they believe Doctor Death died in 1992 in Argentina. He was the highest ranking Natzi war official still uncaptured.

It pisses me off that so many doctors got away unpunished. They were all cowards . Somehow most of them chose to elude capture because unlike their victims their life was too precious to turn themseves in. They were cowards and will all burn in hell.

I have been at Auswitz several times and it is easily one of the saddest places on earth.

It is extra sad for me because thats where my grand grandparents lost their lives.
