Once upon a time I was a 15 year old girl babysitting my 8 month old sister. My mom was out doing groceries and my stepdad was at work. I was used to taking care of her so it was no problem. I knew how to do everything with a baby from changing diapers, feeding and emergency procedures. My mom is a nurse so thats how I knew all that shit.

So here we are on the living room couch, watching some PBS cartoons and I'm giving the bottle to the baby. After she was done, I had to make her belch a little so I sit her on my lap and start rubbing and padding her back a little. You have to be very gentle and of course I was being careful but somehow she must have drank way too fast because she looked at me and made a very weird face.

At that point it was too late to prevent damage... she burped all right. She burped and puked hot semi-digested milk all over me! Disgusted is an understatement from what I was feeling at that moment. I held her up going: EWWWW FUCK!!! Both my shirt and pants were dirty. I was lucky I didnt get any in the mouth. My sister was crying and then I was crying so I put her on the couch and ran to my room to change clothes.

Then I remembered you should never leave a baby alone on the couch, they might roll over and fall down. So I ran back to the living room to get her and then I realise the shades are wide open and I have no shirt on, just a bra and puke-soaked jeans. I freak out and take the baby with me and put her in the tub while i was cleaning up in the sink. If youre wondering, I didnt puke back, but it came very close!

Now my sister is 12 and I told her what happened recently. She laughed at me of course but she also apologized so I can say Ive come to terms with it and Im no longer traumatized by puke.
