There are many many things about getting older that really suck, you are on first name basis with your doctor, you hear from your friends at parties "you sure you need that drink" and me and my body love music so much that I could swear I hear "Free Bird" playing on my bones when I get up. I know there are many of you out there who have parties planned for the next two weeks and I too have made plans for the next two weeks, its called Selected Nerve Root Block or as I like to call it "your going to put that needle where?"

I was at the grocery store the other day (highlight of my day) and stopped long enough to listen to two elderly (when you get older you say elderly instead of old) ladies talk about their medical problems. FRIG I am on my way and its the down hill ride of my life woooheeee hang on. I remember (no he doesn't he dont remember shit) in the good old days when I was bullet proof and could drink a quart of Jack and still drive home, I crawl now after half that much. I used to drag race and chase women and never catch neither, but you kept going because......you could. I pause on the weather channel as I go thru the channels and stop on the news and stay there for a while and by the time I get going again I forgot what channel I was looking for.

I titled this "the things we learn" and I have learned a couple things and here they are

1) lift with your legs not your back

2)never chase women or buses because you will be left behind. (from the movie Harley Davidson and Marlboro man)

3) women come and women go....and they take your shit with them

4) if you have nothing, women cant take it but they dont come around broke ass men

5) Don't worry about how much wood a  woodchuck can chuck, you will only ruin your buzz

and finally

6) Don't ask me, all I can think about is that damn needle they are going to stick in me and I cant remember shit anyway
