Why they call me Devil

I supose I understand why you see me the way you do and dispariage that which I follow. Your god is an odd one, unique among those we choose to call gods. He sits in some unimaginable place seprate from the earth, a platform frm which he comdemns it. This world is the wickedness as are your bodies he says. So anything wrapped up in it, as I am and those I call gods are, is evil as well. They don't care to be called gods, but they obligue me in this, because I have been made so ill as to need to lable them something that describes thier nature as 'other then human'. 'we are not you' is only how they explain themselves. They are as aware as any that call themselves human and could contemplate if they cared to. They no more care to contemplate then do the beasts you believe you rule over. They have nothing that could be called morals, and would do things you could find horifying I imagine. They carry no pretense to benevolence. They don't begin to know what you mean by evil. They have always been called gods for as long as humans have known them, though they get other titles these days. They find themselves an enemy for the first time. They have always loved the fire of life, if it can be so described as love. The progresss humanity made interested them no more then any other. But the fire they have come to love is under threat. peices of it numbering a couple hundred extinguish every day, and it could collapse without warning. They imagine it will go on, but they notice humans have unwittingly created this entity that extingiushes it. They know it is unwitting, they don't begrudge them the action, and yet they are the enemy of this entity. They are mostly content to observe, but they do indeed love the fire of life, a thing you call evil, a thing you wish to transcend. I do not know if your transcendence is real, or possible. I do not care to know. I do not know if your god is real, I imagine it is possible. Because mine are a diferent sort, those that love the fire of life as I do, that is why you call me devil.
