A word of thanks

As some of you know, I'm in the Army.  I was driving through Anchorage yesterday and stopped at a red light.  The guy next to me honks the horn.  I looked over and he gave me a salute.  He then rolled down his window.  I returned the salute and rolled down my window.  He then said, "Thanks for what you do man!"

That was really cool of him.  It made my day.  It's random words of thanks like that or someone picking up the tab for lunch that really makes me feel like the population of the country truely does support those of us in uniform.  Memories of things like this make deployments bareable.

If you've said thanks to anyone in the military, or bought them lunch; I want to thank you.
