The Travesty - Poem

The Travesty

'Tis not a matter of black and white

'Tis whether a man will stand and fight

For the country he holds dear

When a travesty is near

Tax breaks given to the rich

Poor man pushed into the ditch

Common man without a voice

Corporations made the choice

Gripping with a cast-iron fist

Silencing those who resist

Common man turned into slaves

As they're screaming, Jesus saves!
