My wife came home tonight

Woopee... That's sarcasm there.

Lately she's been acting like we're buddies and that she hasn't taken a giant shit on me and my children.  It's pretty nervewracking.

She decided to spend the night at home to interact with the kids.

Just a little while ago, she came in while I was posting her letter, all weepy.  She was talking to my son and he told her that "daddy, sister, and I are going on vacation to Texas."

She was concerned that I was going to kidnap our children back to my family in Texas.  I told her that I'm not a criminal and I'm not going to do anything illegal.  Then she started crying again and said that she'd prefer joint custody and asked if I was going to try to take the kids.  "Please don't take my babies."

I was like ice.  I just looked at her.  "It's nice to see that you're finally thinking about how fucked up our family is getting.  I'm still hoping that you'll make an effort to keep the family together.  Maybe read a book or actually show up to counselling.  I haven't made solid plans to do anything yet.  Believe me, I don't want to be married to you any more than you want to be married to me.  But as an adult, I'd put my own feelings aside to do what's best for my kids and try to keep the family together.  If you're ready to talk about shit, let me know."

Edit:  I just had a come to Jesus meeting with my wife.  I think she sobered up a little.  I think she's starting to realize what's at risk.  I'm more confused than ever.
