So, I don't like facebook...

I get the strangest looks every time I say I don't like facebook or that I never use it, but I feel like I have good reason to avoid it. First off, it's addicting. Most people I know who use facebook use it excessively. Speaking from the point of view of someone who is around the facebook addicts on a regular basis, it's seriously pathetic documenting your uneventful life online as if someone legitimately cares about those things. I can understand using facebook as something to help a few minutes pass by, but to stay on for over an hour messing around with the various unnecessary components of the site (like poking, farmville, etc.) is kind of annoying. That said, I have no real problems with the people who unfortunately spend large chunks of their time on facebook; if i did, I'd lose quite a bit of my friends. My real issue lies in my inability to find enjoyment in it when I try. If I go into a room with a computer whose only webpage is facebook, odds are I'll walk out with a shattered screen behind me. I don't know exactly what it is, but something about facebook get blood boiling and I find myself growing angrier the longer I attempt to get into it. In fact, when anyone uses it, there's at least a spark of anger. Maybe I'm just an antisocial person when the social setting is the web. I don't know. Either way, keep facebook away from me.
