I remember when Osama Bin Laden was assassinated and how the US Navy dumped his body overboard into the sea because of some Islamic law requiring burial within twenty four hours. This was done out of respect for Islamic tradition.  By the way forty nine of the fifty four seamen involved in that have been dishonorably discharged for using drugs.  Maybe there is more to that?


Muammar Gaddafi  was killed on October 20, 2011 and his body is now in some freezer in a grocery store.  This bothered me, so I confirmed that he was indeed a Muslim. 


I don't know much about the Muslim faith, but I know the people who follow it, especially during a war are pretty fervent about their religious observance. So how is it that the American Navy is more respectful of Islamic law, than the Muslim people?  Also, from what I can recall, the way the death of Gaddafi occurred violates Islamic law. Something about killing a fellow Muslim without due process. Perhaps they were just following the new tradition by Obama?

Does any one have any explanations to these questions?
