Whatever happened to good music being popular?  A vast majority of music that's popular (and by popular I mean music that sells millions of records, played on the radio, receives "awards") nowadays is absolutely shit.  You have "artists" who's only talent is good (not great) singing and provocative dancing.  Whatever happened to playing your own music?  Anybody with a music program on their computer can make a catchy beat.  Today's pop music is just as crappy and unoriginal as it was back in the 80's (which we can all agree was the worst era for music with today being a close 2nd).  
I want stuff like the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd. . . just to name a quick few.  I will give away free high fives and hugs for life if anyone can tell me one artist/band/singer who is popular today who will be half as popular as anyone of these.
