Love or Drugs

People talk as if they have a choice, whether or not a nation will have total control. They talk about electing certain officials and how their policies condone freedoms we all deserve. But these officials are self servers no matter their party or official name. The only god in governance is more power, and more and more power will be granted, found, and stolen by those who control. No system is better than the other, there is no anarchy, there is no regime that can stop this cycle. Regimes can please their constituents to hinder any rebellious activity, or if necessary they can crush a protest and call the people who staged it unpatriotic or infidels. Freedoms will be taken for more power, and fear will be used as the primary tool to herd the people of a nation. You will be told that terrorists can use this information to find a weakness, and that these books should be burned. You will be told that your neighbors had ties to a terrorist cell and had to be detained to protect you. We will be told many things, and we will all listen.
The world powers of today will rise and rise until eventually the pedestal they're on becomes too unstable and rocks until it falls. We cannot stop this process through any action, we might only delay it or expedite it.
So what can we do? You must decide what is right for you, to be comfortable or to suffer. You could play the game and have a comfortable life with a family, and a home maybe with nice things. Or you could suffer and fight, resist, and maybe change the system you live in. I don't know what is right. Maybe the only right thing to do is find something that let's us forget about these truths, like love or drugs.
