Yes, indeed, Ron Paul is a mighty fine topic to write about in an awesome blog, whether of not you support him. If you don't support him, I guess you have your doubts about his ethos or you don't agree with his ideas of how a country should be governed - perhaps disagree with his ideas about legalization of marijuana, or you want the US to continue its mission in Afghanistan. If you do support him, you probably have  a lot of reasons to, as well. So it's enough to point out your opinions, because an intellectual debate is always welcome in blogs. You can also write about how he didn't get to be the Republican candidate for the 2012 election or maybe write your theory on why that happened.
