Internet Lock down and the Forbidden Mind

I won't do this idea justice and I probably don't have the capacity to fully explain it. It's extremely important but  likely unrecognizable by most people.

The internet, while vastly  scattered, full of information with unlimited potential, in it's own way, preys on our insecurities, habits, likes and dislikes. It lines up our searches into categories that we prod along into.

As we explore the internet, it at the same time attempts to define us as individuals. That at first might seem helpful as the internet makes the most of  our preferences,  but at the same time directs our thinking into smaller and smaller boxes.

Personally, I don't like how it plays out, but I am unsure what to do about it.  The perfection of the internet in some way limits human imagination  and creation,  as standards, protocols, search engines, site development,  somehow get categorized into mathematical algorithms that direct us into certain directions that may be more of a distraction from what is important.
