    The views are stacking up here. Thanks to a little help from shylilazn, (aka MissNekoJeans) interest in my unfinished novel has been peaked. On every blog that I publish, I leave a link for the next part in the series, for simplicity's sake. Just look at the bottom of the current blog to see where the next one is located. I hope the people reading it are rabid to get through to the next part, to see how it ends. And I know it may sound redundant, but please start reading the story at Crook Takes Pawn Part 1. I'm just saying, is all.
    Since I seem to be attaining some new followers, I wanted to let the more casual readers know a couple things about my writing style. Number one, my work isn't for the squeamish, or easily offended. I'm not pulling any punches with this book. I have to make this honestly, and as straight-forward as I can. That may mean I'm going to ruffle some feathers. But we're all adults here. And if you're not, then go back to mama and leave the reading to the older chaps.
    I write pretty bluntly about sexual situations in the story. It's not gratuitous, and it's not crude. One of my illustrations for the book, called "A Grateful Woman", pretty much sets the tone for Rebecca and Greg's emerging relationship. YOu've gotta understand the passion, the pent-up feelings that these two feel towards one another. Ladies, imagine if a man saved your child, or young sibling from a dangerous situation. Then, pretend that same person nearly died trying to protect you. That's pretty emotional stuff, the kinda story that writes itself.
    I don't mean to objectify women in any way, shape, or form. But I think men and women (especially in America) need to lighten up, and stop repressing all these sexual feelings inside. When you hold those feelings back, it'll come back to bite you. Besides, everyone likes a certain amount of smut.
    So, long story short, don't be a fucking prude. This country was founded on a puritan society when the pilgrims settled, and I think this culture still permeates the U.S. today. We're too goddam judgmental. I'm not out for shock appeal. And I'm not out to win any awards. I'm no Hemmingway, or Steinbeck. But hopefully I can get this thing published, and live off the income it generates.
