A Happy Day!

I guess today's happy day began with yesterday, when my in-laws delivered us a healthy five pound ham soaked in marmalade. Today the weather was great, warm and dry. I'm currently building a deck, so I'm in my element and worked up quite the appetite.

My customer is a sweet lady, who often offers us drinks and buys or makes us lunch. Harvey's cheeseburgers yesterday and delicious salmon salad on fantastic fresh artisan bread today.

The highlight came as I trudged through the traffic. Some ass holer , commonly observed, was trying to weave in and out of lanes in a desperate, useless and annoying attempt to race to the red light.  This type of driving makes me cringe. It wastes energy, prematurely wears out brakes, causes accidents and has no return for the effort.

In my rear view mirror I can see an ass holer weaving in and out,  then I hear a loud crackle sound. The idiot clipped the rear end of a truck and totally demolished his front end, including front drivers rim and wheel. I looked at his face and in true ball licker fashion he grimaced at the driver of the truck. Of course, the young inexperienced driver was driving a new Honda Civic. Epic. I was only elated because the accident happened behind me. Had it occurred in front of me  grinding traffic to a halt, I would not be in a very good mood.

Being worn out by work and the hot sun, supper seemed like a hassle. We had ham yesterday, my wife and my boys had ham sandwiches today, but I knew there was still some left over ham that would go unabsorbed if I didn't use it up. I decided on home made Hawaiian pizza. Usually, I don't like the store bought type but decided to make my own with fresh pineapple , dough and that delicious ham smothered in top notch mozzarella. Absolutely delicious and now a family favourite.

Every time   I make it I will be satisfied and laugh at  that red light racer who disintegrated the front of his new Honda Civic by clipping the rear of a truck.
