Jack Raiden - Birth To Cyborg - Chapter Two

Living in the states I did the only thing I knew and enlisted in the military. The date was January 20, 2006 my admirable skills were noticed by the U.S. Army's task force XXI. I participated in over three hundred VR simulations my favorite of them all was the Shadow Moses incident that took place several years back. I eventually left the Force XXI group on January 20, 2007.

I was transferred to New York, That's when she came into my life. Rosemary or Rose as I loved calling her, I still remember the day I laid my eyes on Rose. It was April 30, 2007. I was on my way home when I noticed A group of middle-aged Japanese women had stop Rose to ask which building King Kong had climbed in the movie. She replied that it was probably the Chrysler Building. I overheard them and stated to the ladies that she was wrong, and it was the empire state building. We argued for so long that the tourist left us in our dispute. We walked along and argued to a point we ended up in the skyscraper museum in Battery Park to see who had a better recollection of the film. However the museum was closed when we arrived. We went our separate ways from there.

A week later to my shock I saw Rose at the military based. I went over to her and asked what she was doing here. She replied that she also was stationed here, maybe it was fate that brought us back together but I wasn't going to take any chances. I asked Rose if she would like to go out with me that night. It was perfect our first date was at the Empire State Building we held hands as we admired the view of the city. Afterwards we went back to Rose's apartment and watched King Kong several times.

I was head over heels for her. The only problem was my horrible nightmares of my past. I would wake up in

the middle of the night sweating and panic stricken. That's why I could never spend nights with her. I kept distant throughout the relationship. Revealing small bits of my past to Rose or let her into my room. One of the worst nights I still remember Rose had showed up unannounced and made her way inside to my apartment. She forced her way into my room; she discovered it to be empty and devoid of any personal effects. All I had was a small bed and a desk, bare simple as if I never existed. The nano-machines kicked in and I was enraged as I lifted my hand to Rose. I have that moment engraved in my mind as well. I am not human I am slowly changing,I can feel it inside me.
