How To Make Art

Ohayou, guys! As many of you probably know already, I'm a talented and moderately famous artist and had my works featured on this website. Many people have told me that they would like to know how to draw at least half as good as me and asked me for tips. I guess it's a swell idea to write down the important aspects of making art.

1. Do not force yourself to do art as others want you to. This is very important, because often someone points out that your technique looks weird or that maybe you should look at some famous painters' art and copy some of their patents. WRONG! How can you express yourself if you need to copy someone to do it? And if your technique is weird, it means it's unique. You should develop it, not change it.

2. Take money for your art. You often hear that a true artist does art for art. Seriously? A poor artist does art for art. A shitty artist who can't sell their art does it for art. That's the most common excuse from crappy artists - "I do it for art, not the money." You know who got paid shitload of money to do art for rich people? Leonardo Da Vinci. Michaelangelo Buonarotti, Raphael Santi, Donatello.

3. Fuck artists. I mean literally. Why waste a shit load of money on college or art classes when you can learn it first hand. It was my boyfriend who first taught me how to use a graphics tablet a long time ago. I used to draw magnificent pencil portraits before I learned how to do digital art, so my skills and talent went in a new direction. Be sure that even if you fuck a genius, you should focus on learning new ways of making YOUR art, not copying theirs.

4. Ignore the haters. There's a shit load of untalented hacks that would want to have even a fraction of your talent and skill. Some of them embrace their mediocrity, others become haters. It's easy to observe in the reactions to my gallery. "She must've sucked admin dick to get this featured." "Wow, this is terrible, a 5 year old could do better." - that's not something an art critique would say. An art critique would point out sloppy parts, some flaws, compare your masterpiece to another. Yet a sad jealous troll will write grade school level insults.

Those are the most important tips. If you would like to ask me about how to draw a masterpiece - it's not something you can describe. You have to feel the art flowing through you and use the techniques you learned to achieve your desired effect. Or something better. I have many times amazed myself with the result of my work. Sometimes you have an idea and the effect is beyond what you have imagined. Especially when you're a brilliant artist that still learns new things about making art. Always be ready to express yourself in new ways and to experiment. That's what true artists do.
