So, I ran from the law last Saturday night, and turned myself in Monday morning. Had to stay in county this week because the cop wanted to keep the ticket in the part of town I was pulled over in and paper work in the justice system moves slower than a snail, even with a lawyer. The cop also did not return my dads or lawyers calls during the week and so I got bonded out last night. Considering how drunk I was and what I had in my truck that THEY DIDN'T FIND, I am lucky. When the cop pulled me over I dumped the beer I was drinking behind my passenger seat, so when he came to the window all he could smell was beer. He saw the half-empty 12 pack, and I ran after the sobriety test, so, thankfully I don't think he searched my car because I had illegals in the front pocket of my backpack which was laying on the passenger seat. When I got back in my truck last night, they were all still there and there is no mention on the ticket of anything like that. So, I got charged with drunk in public, fleeing on foot and failure to pay my tags, which I can beat with ease. No DWI, no refusal to arrest, nothing major! I'm just happy to be out! and I don't want another beer for a fucken minute!! Lawyer fees.....850. Getting my truck out of impound.....410. Being out of jail.......Priceless.
