From The Makers of Pepperpeanut IM

The new instant messenger that replaced meebo brought a lot of controversy because some people liked it a lot and thought of it as an improvement compared to the glitchy meebo, and others complained about how the new IM itself has some bugs, or that it didn't have sound notifications (it still doesn't, actually).

Regardless of these different opinions, the undeniable fact is that Pepperpeanut IM is the best instant messenger currently available on Ebaumsworld.

Recently Pepperpeanut has introduced a new tool for Ebaumsworld users. I thought I'd review it.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw that giant notification about how Ebaums has a new remix tool was "Aw no, not this shit! Nah uh! This crap is gonna pop up every time I open a damned gallery or pic!" But it turns out it didn't. The notification itself asks you if you want it never to show up again, instead leaving you this very subtle icon on the left of the pic/pics.

I was about to try to test this new invention, knowing that Pepperpeanut is like the designers at Ferrari - you never know what they will come up this year and once they do, you are shocked at how innovative and amazing their idea is. It turned out that my favorite browser (which is Opera) is not supported. The browsers that are supported are Firefox and Chrome, which isn't that much of a flaw, since you have two different browsers to choose from.

This tool is great for adding captions, but it's the option that allows you to draw that's amazing.

Once you have selected a photo you want to remix, you click the pencil icon and a new window opens. There you can choose the type of brush you want to use, as well as a wide range of colors available in the color palette.

The functionality of the drawing tool might come off as strange to some - for example, if you click on the pic itself, it won't leave a dot. You'll have to click, hold on to the left mouse button and move your mouse to achieve any effect. You might say that this is a terrible idea, but it prevents you from making accidental spots on your masterpiece. Even though there's the eraser brush available, the remix tool only offers one layer to work on per picture, which means that if you make a mistake, you'd have to erase that whole part.

The main question is: will Ebaums users be able to draw dicks on pictures? The answer is "YES! And easier than ever!"

Some may whine about the complexity of brushes available and that the tool gives too much room for artists who are going to remix a ton of stuff here to promote themselves. Another thing is, the brush tools are very intuitive and easy to master, so even a novice can use it to draw a masterpiece.

Did Pepperpeanut do a great job? Is there a component that he could add into the remix tool to make it even more functional? The comment section is yours to share your opinion!
