The gun to me represents the power to do the job yourself. It use to be a man's duty to take out his old sick dog and send him to doggy heaven. It was the gun that allowed a man to hold the fort, but the gun was not alone, he had a man at his side, someone who took what he had to do seriously. One without the other are worthless and the danger it poses is extreme. That's what I see around the world, people just giving up on what they need to do, leaving duty and security to government agencies. They neglect their families, their children their civil duties, they barely vote and if they do, it's based on partisanship and not the man. Government is not after the gun, that's been a bait and switch. Government has removed the man and left the gun for the ignorant.
