According to the latest polls, overwhelmingly the top issue for Americans is the Economy. In fact more than 50% of Americans consider it the top issue over the war in Iraq, Health Care, Social Security, Education, and Energy conservation combined.
But according to McCain advisor Greg Strimple, "We are looking forward to turning a page on this financial crisis."
Another McCain strategist also said, "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."
So what's McCain's newest strategy? Attack. Attack. Attack.
McCain and Palin would rather make the fantastic claim that Obama is somehow a terrorist than give us some "straight talk" about the most important issue on voters' minds.
I really used to think McCain was a respectable man. Now I see an old hypocrite, who puts winning an election above his country. Country first? Yeah, right.
I wish the McCain of 2000 could meet the McCain of 2008 and see the hypocrite he has become.
