Dr. Heathcliff Cliff Huxtable was an OBGYN obstetrician/gynecologist, and his wife Clair was a successful attorney. They had five children: Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy. Sondra was rarely seen during the first season because she was away at Princeton.
