Oscar winning actress and activist Charlize Theron has been named a U.N. Messenger of Peace. The 33-year-old Theron will have a special focus on ending violence against women by assisting Bans campaign, UNite to End Violence against Women. She agreed with Ban to pressure Hollywood into making more movies about social issues.
