When uploading pictures, you have the option of creating an individual picture item or a picture gallery.

Choosing picture gallery will allow you to upload multiple pictures that are tied together with a common theme. Galleries can contain up to 10 pictures. The first picture uploaded will automatically be used as the thumbnail for the gallery.
