In 1775 the British Redcoats, with direct orders from King George, came to confiscate guns and gunpowder from the colonists. In response, freedom-loving patriots refused to give up their weapons and instead they fired "the shot heard around the world" giving birth to the revolution and leading to the creation of a new and free nation.
