Lost Hunters

A group of hunters were out deer hunting, in territory unfamiliar to them.
Sure enough, two of the guys had gotten lost, and were worried about a cold night in the woods. One of the hunters says to the other,
"I've heard that if you get lost, stay put, fire 3 shots into the air every now and then, and we'll be found". So they find a tree to sit by, and then take turns firing 3 shots every hour or so.
As darkness crept in, no-one had shown up yet. The first hunter turns to the other and says,
"I hope someone finds us fast, we're almost out of arrows".
